January - April 2024
Uttarann Newsletter
January and February, Kolkata
At Uttarann, our diverse initiatives prioritize enhancing the quality of life. During these months, we organized free medical camps, provided educational assistance, promoted hygiene awareness among marginalized students in various schools, and offered shelter and protection for animals. Uttarann volunteers also conducted Yogasana and Bhavasana sessions, which included Pranayama and Meditation practices.
These Bhavasana sessions extended to corporate sectors and educational institutions, including schools and colleges. The objective of these sessions is to achieve holistic physical and mental well-being. Notably, in January 2024, hundreds of students across three government schools benefited from these sessions. Additionally, similar sessions were conducted in various other schools, colleges, offices, and organizations.
In February 2024, Sadhakas had the privilege of participating in Yogasana, Pranayama, and Dhyan during a three-day retreat in Nabadwip, Nadia district, West Bengal, a holy town renowned as the birthplace of Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. These sessions were held in the divine presence of Shree Guru Maashree.
March, Shreejaashram
Nestled in the serene lap of the Sahyadris, amidst the diverse hues and fragrances of nature, lies Shreejaashram. Blessed by Shree Shree Maashree, the disciples residing here experience profound tranquility and bliss.
Throughout the year, Shreejaashram is vibrant with various celebrations. Among them is Ananda Utsav in March, marking the birthday of Shree Guru Maashree. During this celebration, Sadhakas are blessed with live discourses from the Guru, followed by devotional music (Bhav Geet) and dance (Bhav Nritya) in the evening.
In the same month, we also celebrated Shiv Pranam (on Shiv Ratri) and Dol Purnima (Holi). On Shiv Pranam, under the guidance of Guru Maashree, Sadhakas offered water on the holy Shila. According to Guru, the Shila represents the form of a complete Sadhak, and water is offered with devotion and gratitude. During Dol Purnima, Sadhakas offered Abir (colors) at Guru Charan and, like every Purnima, meditated on the full moon with open eyes from the Ashram's rooftop. These celebrations left Sadhakas enriched with a multitude of experiences.
During these special occasions, we take the opportunity to share our bliss by conducting food Bhandaar in Khodala and distribute stationaries & supplies in nearby village schools for the children of rural Maharashtra.
April, Cochin Centre, Kerala
In April, Shree Guru graced the Sadhakas in Cochin with her divine presence. During the ensuing Satsang sessions, Sadhakas sought answers to their spiritual and worldly queries and made musical offerings to Shree Guru, basking in her divine love.
